In 2030, Constitution Day falls on a Friday, giving many a long weekend.
About Constitution Day
Constitution Day in Poland falls on 3 May, marking the adoption of the Constitution of 1791. It was the first codified national constitution in Europe and the second in the world. Poland restored it as a public holiday in 1990. Alongside Labour Day on 1 May, it anchors a stretch of celebrations known as Majowka, a popular early-May break.
The day is marked by official state ceremonies, military honours and speeches by national leaders in Warsaw. Public buildings and homes display the white and red national flag, often shown together with the flag hoisted on Flag Day, 2 May. Many people use the long Majowka weekend for short trips, family outings and rest, and shops keep holiday hours.
