Constitution Day in Poland falls on 3 May, marking the adoption of the Constitution of 1791. It was the first codified national constitution in Europe and the second in the world. Poland restored it as a public holiday in 1990. Alongside Labour Day on 1 May, it anchors a stretch of celebrations known as Majowka, a popular early-May break.
