About
A quick reference for public holidays, week numbers and annual calendars. Built so you can compare countries without bouncing between sites.
Coverage
21 countries, 2025-2030, 12 languages. Country pages show public holidays, major observances, weekdays, a 12-month grid, and ISO week numbers.
How the dates are computed
Holiday dates come from rules in the site code, not from a third-party API. Easter uses the Anonymous Gregorian algorithm. Diwali, Holi and the Japanese equinoxes use year-by-year tables. Everything else is fixed dates or 'nth weekday of the month' rules.
This is reference material, not legal advice. For payroll, contracts or anything else load-bearing, check the official calendar for the country in question.
Corrections
Spotted a date that looks wrong? Email contact@worldcalendar.io with the country, year, holiday name and a link to a source.
Locale and time zones
All dates are computed in UTC, then formatted with locale-specific labels like English. That way your browser's time zone can't shift a date forward or back by a day.
