About Mountain Day
Mountain Day (Yama no Hi) is a Japanese national holiday observed on 11 August. Introduced in 2016, it is the country's newest public holiday and was created as an occasion to appreciate mountains and the blessings they bring, complementing the earlier Marine Day.
